Miss Allie came into the shelter as an owner surrender alongside her brother, and at the time, she was pregnant. She was estimated to be just around 12mnts old at the time of intake! This unexpected turn of events led to a challenging situation for her, but she handled it with remarkable resilience. After giving birth, her brother and her four adorable puppies found loving homes, leaving Miss Allie still searching for her perfect match. It’s perplexing that she has yet to be adopted, especially considering her affectionate nature and eagerness to please. Since arriving at the shelter six months ago, she has shown a keen ability to learn and has picked up some basic commands, which highlights her intelligence and willingness to engage with her caregivers.

Miss Allie truly needs an active, loving forever home that will not only provide her with companionship but also teach her the joys of being an adventure buddy. As a hound, she possesses a spirited personality and a natural inclination to communicate, which can sometimes come across as vocalization. However, we believe that with the right amount of exercise and mental stimulation, she would likely become less vocal and more content. Regular walks, playtime, and exploration would not only keep her physically fit but would also help channel her energy positively, allowing her to thrive in a home environment.

Her temperament is one of her greatest assets; she is fantastic with humans of all ages, displaying a gentle and friendly demeanor that makes her a great companion for families, singles, and seniors alike. Moreover, she appears to have a tolerant attitude towards cats, which is a bonus for potential adopters who may have feline friends at home. Additionally, she does well with other dogs, exhibiting a sociable nature that suggests she could easily integrate into a multi-pet household. She is house trained, kennel trained, and off leash trained!!
