DOG FOSTER AGREEMENT

This agreement documents the TEMPORARY ownership of dog mentioned below from Paws to Peaks Rescue to new FOSTER listed below. The agreement shall remain in effect until dog is placed in their forever adoptive home, or an adoption agreement has been approved by the rescue and has been signed by the foster family. Paws to Peaks Rescue warrants we are the lawful owner of the dog and are able to convey the temporary ownership of this dog to another home.

Foster's Information

I agree that I will care for this dog in a safe and humane manner, and as a family pet and companion. The dog will have appropriate: food, water, shelter and medical care while under my care. I agree that this dog will never be chained or tied out and left alone outside. I agree this dog will never be left in a crate in excess of eight (8) total hours per

day and will never be left outside at night.

I understand that Paws to Peaks Rescue makes no guarantees or warranties regarding the health or temperament of this dog.

Paws to Peaks Rescue shall not be held liable for the behavior of this dog or any damages it may cause.

I agree that the dog will wear an identification nametag, which includes my phone number at all times. I agree that this dog

will never be transported (secured or unsecured) in the open bed of a pickup truck. I agree that if this dog becomes lost, every reasonable effort in working closely with the rescue will be made to recover the lost dog including, but not limited to: advertising in local newspapers, advertising of lost dog on local and nationwide social media sites, visiting the local animal shelters and paying all recovery fees if the animal is seized by animal control officers, or hiring professional humane animal trappers. I agree that I will notify Paws to Peaks Rescue within 4 HOURS if the animal is still missing.

I understand and agree that Paws to Peaks Rescue has the right to know the whereabouts of this dog while under foster care and therefore agree to provide Paws to Peaks Rescue with my new telephone number and/or address change within 24 hours of any changes.

I also understand that the foster animal(s) must remain in my care and control at all times with the obvious exceptions of pet adoptions, vet visits, and grooming and that if the foster dog needs temporary care for any reason, the foster agrees to contact the rescue to make arrangements with an approved representative.

I understand that if, at any time, I am unable to keep this dog for any reason, and it becomes necessary to relinquish or is not a good

fit for the fostering family, Paws to Peaks Rescue requires that the Fostering Family to contact Paws to Peaks Rescue to arrange the

transport of above-named dog to a new foster family or adoptive home. Understanding this return process may not happen immediately, and the foster family will need to keep the dog safe and, in their residence, or at an approved boarding facility at the cost of the current fosters, until the rescue can arrange for the dog to be placed elsewhere. At no time should the dog be surrendered to a shelter or rehomed to another individual without a new adoption or foster agreement for the new family signed through Paws to Peaks Rescue.

I enter into this agreement of my own free will and understand that this is a binding contract enforceable by civil law.
