Axel

Axel is a super fun boy that absolutely loves people and kids. He loves to play with our kids and anyone else. He has been around kids of all ages, including newborns. One of his favorite things to do with our kiddos is to jump on the tramp with them. He has done that with them since he was a puppy. He is very affectionate and wants all the love. He loves belly rubs and always wants to be close to his people if possible. Axel enjoys the water when he wants to get in it. He likes to go explore new places and be outside. He does enjoy toys but mostly loves to tear them apart so tough toys are important. Axel does well in the yard and in the home. He is both house and kennel trained. Axel is pretty quiet as well and it's rare that he barks. He listens very well. He has some off leash training but could use a refresher and has had quite a bit of training on leash. He knows to sit on your left when you stop and walks on leash well. He would do even better with some more work. Axel knows most basic commands too. Axel is very responsive to direction and correction when needed regardless of who it comes from in the family. Axel doesn't have many dislikes to our knowledge besides baths and getting his nails trimmed. He will definitely try and go anywhere else when you try to trim his nails. As for baths, he tolerates them but mopes the whole time. We have not had him around other animals outside our family dogs so we are not sure how he would do around them. He currently lives with a GSP which he does well with and a smaller eldery dog, that he has shown some resource guarding around which is why his family is looking for a new forever home. He's a good boy who is eager to please.
