Beau

A distinguished gentleman, Beau is an 11-12 year old Wirehaired pointer with a heart full of love and plenty of pep in his step. Don't let his age fool you- he's spry and enjoys nothing more than his daily walk off leash. He's exceptionally well trained to the collar and doesn't wander too far. He enjoys cuddling with his people on the couch. He's even pointed pigeon and a covey of huns on his walks, so there's a bird dog in there. He is especially fond of kids and would be thrilled to have a family to adore. When it comes to dog friends, he likes to be selective and is the dominant figure, so we call him back and leash him when passing other dogs on walks. Cats are his ultimate nemesis, so a non-cat family is preferred. What he's looking for is a cozy, loving home where he can enjoy his golden years in comfort and with companionship and loads of attention. He's been a very adaptable dog. For an old man, he learns new tricks well including new rules and boundaries. Since coming to Missoula, he's lost some fat pads, got a facial and a teeth cleaning, so he's in exceptionally good health.
