Ryder the Setter

Ryder loves playing fetch and cuddling. He is the sweetest boy who is just a little overprotective. He gets along well with other dogs in his own home but struggles with dogs through fences or when he is on a leash. Ryder needs a home with some space to run and preferably with no neighboring dogs along fences (although my rescue lady thinks this is trainable). He was just acquired in August by current family and we are not really sure of his history prior to coming to his current owner.

He enjoys cuddling anywhere and everywhere. He enjoys benebone type chews to chew on and squeaky things. He will sit and squeak a squeaky toy until he gets bored. One of his favorite stimulation activities is hiding treats around the yard and house for him to sniff out. He can be loud when you don’t throw his ball fast enough or if the dogs around him are playing too hard. He also has a habit of barking when he hears a car door slam outside or if he thinks there is someone at the front door.
