Scout the GSP Mix

Scout is a 4yr old GSP Mix that finds himself looking for a forever home as he doesn't like being left home alone. His owner recently moved and is getting noise complaints and the landlord is requiring rehoming him due to the barking.

He has an incredible passion for running around, often spending hours each day engaged in this activity. His boundless energy and enthusiasm make him a joy to be around, as he thrives on being active and is always eager to participate in various activities. This high level of motivation drives him to seek out playtime and interaction, as he truly enjoys having something to do at almost all times. However, it's important to note that he experiences separation anxiety, which manifests in behaviors such as barking and trembling whenever his owner leave the house. Thus will need ample time to adjust to a new life and we hope to find him a fostering willing to adopt to decrease him being bounced around or ending up in the shelter.

He has also learned a variety of commands, showcasing his intelligence and willingness to learn. He knows how to sit, lay down, give both paws, spin, and stay, which not only helps in maintaining good behavior but also provides mental stimulation for him. Each command he has mastered reflects his eagerness to please and his ability to engage in training sessions, which can be both fun and rewarding for both Scout and his new owner! Given his active nature and playful spirit, he would thrive with an active human companion who enjoys outdoor adventures and is willing to take him along on hikes, runs, swims, or even just long walks in the park. He craves the excitement of exploring new environments and would greatly benefit from a lifestyle that includes regular physical activity and mental challenges. This would not only help him expend his energy, decrease his separation anxiety, but also strengthen the bond between him and his human, making for a fulfilling companionship filled with shared experiences and joy.
