Yaki
3yr old neutered male
Yaki came into his current home as a stray just two months ago, and since then, he has made significant strides in adapting to his new environment. Initially, he was a bit unsure of his surroundings, but with patience and consistent training, he is beginning to thrive. He will need time to decompress in his new home and consistency with minimal foot traffic through the home and an adult only home.
Yaki is highly motivated by food and praise, which makes him a joy to train; however, he does tend to get distracted easily by sounds and movements around him. This is something we are actively working on to help him focus better during training sessions. One of Yaki's favorite activities is hiking. He loves exploring the great outdoors, and the fresh air seems to invigorate him. We are also working on helping him become more comfortable with water, as he has shown some hesitance in that area.
To make our training sessions both fun and engaging, we utilize various enrichment activities, such as lick mats and frozen Kongs filled with his favorite treat—peanut butter. This not only keeps him entertained but also helps to reinforce positive behaviors. In terms…
