Bentley-Adopted
3yr old neutered male GSP
We adopted him from the Seattle Humane Society after his previous owners, who unfortunately found themselves unhoused, entered a shelter that did not permit pets. This situation left Bentley in need of a new home, and we were fortunate enough to bring him into our lives in April 2024. Since joining our family, Bentley has shown no signs of behavioral or health problems, which has made the transition smooth and enjoyable for everyone involved.
Both of his current owners work full-time in highly demanding jobs that often require our full attention and energy. To ensure Bentley stays active and engaged while we are at work, we send him to a dog daycare where he can socialize and play with his friends. The daycare offers a host of activities, including hiking, swimming, and various adventures that keep him stimulated and happy. Enriching Bentley’s life has become an additional full-time commitment for us. As we transition into the next phase of our lives, with plans to build a family, we have come to realize that Bentley would thrive even more in an environment where he could have the companionship of other German Shorthaired Pointers (GSPs) on a spacious property. This arrangement would allow him to enjoy his days without the need to go to daycare every single day. Bentley truly is the best boy, and our love for him runs deep. He deserves the greatest life possible, and while we have been doing our utmost to provide that for him, we recognize that it may not be sustainable given our current life circumstances.
Bentley is a dog that adores human interaction, thriving on snuggling, closeness, and comfort. He has a particular obsession with playing ball and loves nothing more than a good game of fetch. In addition to his ball obsession, Bentley is a huge fan of swimming and enjoys exploring the great outdoors through hiking and various adventures. His need for constant enrichment and new experiences is a hallmark of his personality. He is gentle, kind, and goofy, embodying the classic traits of a GSP. Bentley has an incredible ability to light up anyone’s world, provided he receives the love and attention he so richly deserves.
To ensure he has a fulfilling life, Bentley frequently visits daycare and enjoys trips to dog parks, where he can socialize with other dogs. He also participates in off-leash hikes, and throughout all these experiences, he has never displayed any signs of aggression or intolerance toward other pups. His friendly demeanor and sociable nature make him a joy to be around, and he has made many friends both human and canine alike.
Someone on our waitlist that has been waiting for the perfect fit and jumped on the opportunity with Bentley before he was even posted! We love being able to place dogs with people that know what they are looking for and are patient till that dog comes into their lives via PTPR!
