Henry-Adopted

Henry is a 1-year-old neutered male Wireharied Pointing Griffon, a breed known for its intelligence and versatility, who was rescued from a challenging situation in Spokane. Currently, he resides in Ferry County, WA located to the north of Spokane, where he has been adapting to his new environment. His current family, who have been caring for him with love and attention, are now seeking a forever home for him due to their upcoming travel plans. They will be heading to their summer home in the remote wilderness of Alaska, and they have expressed genuine concerns about Henry bringing Henry to a location that is 140 miles away from the nearest veterinarian. This distance could pose significant challenges in case of any emergencies, particularly given his high energy levels and the needs of an active bird dog like him.

Henry would truly thrive in a loving home that appreciates the great outdoors and is open to sharing their couch with a furry companion. He possesses a sweet disposition and is an athletic dog who is non-dominant, making him an excellent candidate for families or individuals looking for a gentle and playful pet. He has an incredibly friendly nature and has yet to meet a person or another dog that he does not like; in fact, he would greatly benefit from having some dog friends who can match his playful energy and enthusiasm. His current family enjoys hiking frequently, and Henry has proven to be an excellent companion on these adventures. He has off-leash recall, demonstrating his ability to respond to commands and stay close to his humans, but he also knows when to settle down, showcasing his balanced temperament. His energy level is medium to high, which means he enjoys being active but can also relax when it’s time to unwind. Henry adores people, whether it’s snuggling on the furniture, joining in on car rides, or simply being part of family activities.
