Rudy

Rudy is a 7-year-old neutered male in search of his forever home, through no fault of his own. His current family has cared for him since he was 8 weeks old. Rudy is extremely intelligent, energetic, crate trained, and very loving. He enjoys swimming, playing with other dogs and cats, and desires to be with his people as much as he can. He sleeps under the covers and is happiest when he's close to you.

Due to increasing work hours and travel commitments for both pawrents, they are finding it challenging to provide what's best for him in the long run. He doesn't cope well in boarding or kennels (he loses weight from stress and doesn't eat), and we believe it's not ideal for him to spend extended periods in such conditions.

Important things to know about Rudy:

- Loud noises make him anxious; he is gun shy (even afraid of squirt guns) and frightened by fireworks.

- He experiences some separation anxiety but adjusts well with a structured routine; he thrives in a home where someone is present most of the time.

- We rarely crate him for more than 4–6 hours at a stretch.

- He LOVES running and playing fetch.

Overall, while Rudy has a few quirks, he is truly a wonderful best friend who just needs a human or family that can provide him with the love he deserves.
