Ruby is a 12-13 yr old looking for her new home with her daughter Cleo (also a GSP age 9-10). They are needing a new home due to their dad having a brain tumor and no longer being able to care for them. They still have that typical GSP energy, but are at the perfect age as they can settle a lot easier in the house.

Neither have been trained to hunt, but are very birdy, and don't seem phased by gun fire in the distance. They are great cuddling, good with kids, love to run and are recall trained, house trained, kennel trained, do well in the kennel in for car rides, and free within the cab, are doing well with the other dogs in the house. Ruby would be a great shed hunter as she has brought foster mom a lot of hides and bones on their hikes!!

If interested in providing us with a great forever home, please go to the forms section and look over the adoption agreement. Please look this over and if that looks okay please fill out our application and email it back to us!

Unfortunately Cleo is in Chronic Kidney Failure and will need a renal specific special diet. She is also on incontinence medication. She also has some arthritis in her Left hip/both elbows, so is on some oral pain medication for this and monthly adequan shots. Don't let this fool you though as she still goes for a few mile run daily with all the other dogs!

Harley is 6yr old GWP. He is looking for his new forever home as his family moved into town and he is not getting the exercise that he needs.

He has grown up with kids and does well with them. He does well with other dogs. He does NOT do well with cats.

He is just such a happy boy, he gives you the full butt wag, not just the tail wag. He has done upland hunting which he loves and he just started getting into waterfowl. He LOVES fetch. He is recall trained, basic obedience, house trained, kennel trained, place trained. In other words, he is pretty much the perfect bird dog!

He does have severe dust mite and storage mite allergies that caused him to loose all of his hair on his ears, and became very itchy. He will need to be on Apoquel daily and possibly immunotherapy forever to help with these allergies. He is also currently on Hydrolyzed protein food as he had significant weight loss and kept having loose stools.

If interested in Harley please proceed to our forms page and look at the adoption agreement, if that looks okay, please proceed with filling out the application and email it back to us.

Tahoe is back at the rescue as he can be a little picky on who he likes. He does great with the pack here at the rescue, but he did not like Leo who was in rescue the same time as him, and Leo was unaltered. This seems to be the only difference for him.

Tahoe came as a rescue transfer just before his 3rd birthday from Utah Perfect Pointers as he needed more one on one training and was not getting the right applications over the 2yrs he was in rescue in UT. He was originally an owner surrender to an Idaho shelter around 8 months of age, due to their resident dog starting fights with Tahoe. So unfortunately he was taught at a young age the need to defend himself.

When he came into rescue, he was very timid around new people, but once he created that trust he is all kisses. He loved to run so my rescue lady worked hard on my off leash recall training, along with kennel training, basic obedience training as I didn't even know sit when I got to my rescue lady!! He now knows: sit, stay, wait, off, load up, kennel, leave it, this way, and most importantly come/here.

If interested in being on the waitlist for her, please go to the forms section and look over the adoption agreement. If that looks okay, please proceed with filling out the online application and email it back to us and we should respond within 24 hours.

Hey everyone! My name is Lulu and I'm an 11-year-old female German Shorthaired Pointer.

I was adopted almost a decade ago by the best human on the planet when I was 2 years old. Unfortunately, he passed away last month and I'm lost without him. I am searching for a family to take care of me in my golden years. I'd especially love a new human dad who I can really bond with one-on-one!

Here's what my foster has learned about me so far in Western, Washington:

I'm very sweet, very obedient and very loyal! I'm easy to bathe and keep clean. I do excellent on a leash. I do get jealous when I have to share my dad with another dog, thus I would thrive as an only dog. I'm great with basic commands - sit, stay, lay down, go to your place. I'm quick to learn and listen to what you want me to do. I love making my people happy! We're not sure if I'm crate trained, since I sleep so well in my dog bed.

Because I am a senior, I don't need as much exercise as a young German Shorthaired Pointer, but I will still need exercise to keep me healthy. I'd do best with a big, fenced yard that I can explore. I'm an old lady and can't hold my bladder as well as I used to. Sometimes a little bit can sneak out here and there, but I might be able to get on medication to help me with this. I've got a few red patches on me that I've had my whole life. They don't bother me at all! I'm incredibly healthy and agile for my age.

If you are ready to open your heart and home to a sweet old lady, I'm ready to give you infinite amounts of love in return!
